Gîte à la Cornemuse

À la Cornemuse is a beautiful home more than one hundred years’ old  rooted in the history of North Hatley as a very popular tea house known as  “The Sunset View” which was handled  by the Mackay, a Scottish family actively involved in the hotel and tourism activities of the village.

After extensive renovations in the 1990s, our bed and breakfast, one of the oldest B & B in the Eastern Townships, became a favourite and first choice destination recognized by the Lauréat des Grands prix du toursime québécois in 2004.

Visitors will find, inside and outside, all those components and attention to details that makes the B & B a distinctive house of character where time seems to stop and reminds the days gone by within the modern conveniences of today.

Everyone agrees that the gourmet breakfasts at La Cornemuse B & B are absolutely fabulous.  You will enjoy being awake in the morning by the irresistible smell of fine coffee and homemade pastries just out of the oven.  For the pleasure of your eyes a nice table set up just waiting for you to enjoy our creative savoury or sweet Scottish-inspired menu, from the entree to desert, each course being decorated with flowers and spices from the bio garden in season and prepared with local products while bagpipe music background slightly remind the theme of the house.  The breakfast can also be served by the fireplace in winter or on the terrace in the shade of the apple tree in summer.
